Cookie Policy

This policy explains the cookies and similar browser technologies used on devicepilot.ai and how you can control them.

What these technologies are

Cookies are small text files stored by a website in your browser. We also use local storage, which lets the browser remember a setting without sending it automatically with every web request. In this policy, “cookies” includes both cookies and similar browser storage unless we say otherwise.

Your choice comes first

Necessary storage is used for language and consent preferences. Analytics, location, and marketing technologies remain off until you enable the relevant category. Google Tag Manager is not downloaded before you grant analytics or marketing permission.

You can accept, reject, or customise optional technologies. To review or withdraw your choice, open Cookie settings.

Necessary storage

Name Type Purpose Duration
devicePilotLanguage Local storage Remembers the language you selected. Until changed or browser storage is cleared
devicePilotConsent Local storage Records whether you allowed analytics and marketing, the policy version, and the time of your choice. Up to 180 days

Analytics and location

If you enable analytics, the website loads Google Tag Manager and can measure page use, referral source, landing path, UTM campaign parameters, and selected interactions. The published Tag Manager container may use Google Analytics cookies including:

Name Provider Purpose Typical maximum duration
_ga Google Analytics Distinguishes visitors for analytics reporting. 2 years, subject to browser limits and configuration
_ga_<container-id> Google Analytics Maintains session state. 2 years, subject to browser limits and configuration

With the same permission, the site may derive a two-letter country or region code from your IP address. The raw IP is handled by the same-site serverless endpoint and Azure Maps; it is not returned to the browser or placed in the analytics data layer.

Marketing

If you enable marketing, advertising and campaign-measurement tags configured in Google Tag Manager may run. Those tags may use advertising identifiers or cookies such as _gcl_au. The exact names and durations depend on the published container and browser. The Tag Manager container must be reviewed whenever tags change so this table and the consent categories remain accurate.

Browser controls and withdrawal

You can also delete or block cookies through your browser. Blocking all storage may prevent the site from remembering your language and privacy choices. When you withdraw a previously granted category, the site updates Google Consent Mode, expires common optional cookies it can access, and reloads the page to stop further optional processing.

Some cookies set on another provider’s domain cannot be deleted directly by this website. You can remove those using your browser controls.
